Supporting our schools means listening to what they need—and finding meaningful ways to help.

This week, members of the Highland Rotary Club (HRC) delivered the first of several planned donations of bulk snacks to Highland Elementary School to help ensure that children who may not come to school with one don't go without. We also delivered 26 pounds of sidewalk chalk for students to enjoy during recess and outdoor time.

These may seem like simple things, but they matter. A snack can help a child stay focused and ready to learn. Sidewalk chalk can create opportunities for creativity, play, connection, and fun.
This support grew out of conversations with our local school leaders about where Rotary could make a difference. We’re proud to partner with Highland Central School District and to continue finding practical ways to support the children in our community. We're looking forward to sharing updates about our projects with the Middle and High School soon.

For us, Service Above Self means showing up where we can help—and investing in the young people who call Highland home is one of our favorite initiatives.
